This is Bill Pitcock, Principal of Westlane Middle School with the Westlane Wildcat Weekly Message.
-We are currently getting ready for our third annual Day of Good which will take place on Wednesday, May 22. This is a day where all students and staff participate in activities that honor the memory and dedication of a fallen wildcat, Adam Goodman. Not only did Adam attend Westlane as a student, but he was also a teacher here for over a decade. He left a legacy that has greatly impacted our students and staff and will continue to do so for years and years to come. In his name a scholarship fund was created. Each year, on the Day of Good, students have the opportunity to purchase several different things such as buttons, bracelets, cupcakes, snow cones, chances to pie teachers in the face, as well as snacks. All money from these sales goes directly into the Adam Goodman Scholarship Fund. We are hoping to make this a record setting year! Be advised that your student is encouraged to bring his or her money with them through the following Wednesday, May 22. All fundraisers will last during that timeframe. Thank you so much for your support in this effort!
-Yearbooks are still for sale in the Bookstore for $35.
– Nurse Harris would like you to know that all medication should be picked up from school by 4:00 PM by May 23, 2019. If it is not picked up by that date, it will be disposed of according to district policy 5330.
-All Media Center books and textbooks need to be returned as soon as possible.
-Part of the Day of Good will be a PAWS Auction – You can still donate items for the auction.
-If you can help with the NEW Panther Day tomorrow – volunteer here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0f48aca92ea4f58-newpanther
